1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using EasySwaps EV ("the App", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Description of the Service

EasySwaps EV is a queue management app designed to coordinate shared EV charging bays at workplaces. The Service allows users to join queues, log charging sessions, and receive reminders to vacate a charging bay when their session is complete.

The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers in the future, but any existing free functionality will remain available to existing users with reasonable notice.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You must have access to a workplace or shared location where EV charging facilities exist.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us immediately at support@easyswapsev.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may not share your account with another person or create multiple accounts for the same individual.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
• Add false, inaccurate, or misleading queue entries or session data.
• Harass, abuse, or intimidate other users through any feature of the Service (including the ping functionality).
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or databases.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Use the Service to transmit any malicious code, spam, or unsolicited communications.
• Misuse the guest vehicle feature to falsely block or manipulate queue positions.

6. Guest vehicle entries

The Service allows you to add a vehicle registration plate and optional name to the queue on behalf of another person who is not using the App. By doing so, you confirm that you have a legitimate reason to add that vehicle and that the information provided is accurate. You accept responsibility for entries you create.

7. Intellectual property

All content, branding, and code within the Service are the property of EasySwaps EV and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

EasySwaps EV does not guarantee that use of the Service will result in a fair or timely allocation of charging bays. The Service is a coordination tool only — it does not have physical control over any charging infrastructure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasySwaps EV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is £0).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party infrastructure (Railway for hosting, Resend for email). We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of those third-party services beyond what is within our reasonable control.

11. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. We will endeavour to give reasonable notice of material changes that affect your use of the Service.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you through the App or by email before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@easyswapsev.co.uk.

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
